My name is Julian Leroy Hampshire, but I go by Jules and I'm a fourteen year old male. I've been told I resemble Asa Butterfield but there's a whole lot more to me then that.

I come from a place where ....

The world I come from, everything changed almost 3 years ago. A war and a virus destroyed life as we knew it. All of the adults died, teachers, aunts, parents, everyone. It was hard for a long time, but I always had my big brother to protect me from the worst of it. When all the adults passed away, he moved us to a farm with his friends, and they became like our new family. It's hard work on the farm. Everyone has to work, and there are definitely more than enough chores to go around. But it's also a good place to be, all things considered. My brother always said how bad the city was, and we were away from all of that. Although sometimes I wished that we were more in the center of things, being out with everyone was nice. And the animals are cool. Horses, cows, chickens, a little piggy.

Even with all the hard work, there is still time for fun though. Like, watching my brother irritate some of the others with his grumpy mood. Or, more likely, watching them irritate him. And watching the animals, or just looking up at the stars at night. Everyone always says that I have an overactive imagination, but I beg to differ. I think my imagination is just active enough. It isn't my fault that they aren't all writers like I am, that they don't see the world the same way. Maybe I'm just too quiet sometimes, but hey, that's not a crime. Although, my brother does say it's stalking, but I disagree with that as well. I just like to observe.
