To everyday folk on the frontier of Alliance space, it’s a struggle for everyday life. What with reavers, bandits, or more mundane things like starvation and disease, there’s a thousand and one ways to die in the verse. With space being as large as it is, people need people with ships to move cargo, both legitimate and illicit, from one planet to another. Get enough credits, and an enterprising soul can acquire a ship and a crew. For a few credits more, you buy a gun to help keep them. Many of these enterprising souls are those who have no place in the Alliance. Misfits, Independents, adventurers… People who have had everything taken from them. Except the sky.
