Craven felt a little rediculous in his heap of tin metal dressed from top to bottom to protect every fleshy part of his body in case it got injured. He hated the thought of stepping outside in this get up and would rather die then do it like this. Why was he here? He didn't know. He didn't know how he was getting back home either. The worst part of all this was that Jet wasn't with him! He needed his companion desprately and he needed Gia. Most of all he needed Gia. He missed her so much and he was getting worried that he'd never see her again.
At least he'd met another mutant here. He'd been lain out on the bed staring at Gia while she slept and the next he'd been in the middle of a bar with men slapping his back and a ale of beer being spilled all over him. They had strange rough accents and there was NO technology here. The women though... urgh, the elven queen in particular. She was claimed though and he had Gia anyway. He'd given her his sacred vow to be loyal to her. To marry her. One day. Besides, it was kinda amazing that a blind knight like Brandon could tell just from the sound of her voice that Nalaac was the most beautiful woman either of them had ever seen.
Craven trapsed into the top of the all where he was to undertake weapons training with Brady, dressed in a full suit of armor. Brady thought it was important to be able for Craven to move in the gear so there he was.
"I feel like the tin man from Oz."
Brady twisted to the sound of his voice and expertly gave his sword a twirl making Craven gulped despite Brady's warm laughter.
"This is important Craven. You need to play this part perfectly or the King will know and lock you up. "
Craven sighed and moved closer to the edge of the castle wall glancing down to the courtyard.
"I wonder if your queen is down there today. She does like the gardens."
Brady was instantly distracted by this and he turned his face into the wind listening instently.
"Is she there? Do you see her?"
Craven smirked. Oh Yes! A few minutes of peace before the stress of training started.
"Uh... Oh God! Yes! There she is. She looks lovely today!"
No, Craven didn't actually see her but he was buying a few more seconds of safety.
