Modred was taught to use a spear in the time in which he'd arrived. He was very good with it now and would often be sent to the stream to practice spearing fish or to the beach where he'd see the mermaid, Nerine, swimming about catching fish too. Mermaids... he'd never seen such a lovely creature in all his life. He often found himself staring at her, waiting her fish, such a natural graceful creature. Of course, he was magical too. A born druid, able to read minds. They didn't know that yet and he wouldn't tell them.
He was smarter than that. He was not going to put himself into even more danger by telling them what he could do. They would obviously use that against him. He knew what they were thinking when they walked passed him and some of the thoughts made him scowl at the ground. His heart still ached for Kara. If these women touched him, he knew he wouldn't be able to hold himself back from attacking them. Mordred stared into the water, the glistening sunshine dancing across the rippling surface.
The sound of the hangman talking his Kara to the underworld echoed in his memories and suddenly a burst of water came shooting up sending fish, droplets of water and stones everywhere. The druid kept staring into the water, cold, lost, alone... but he wasn't.... Mordred slowly lifted his head turning his eyes to the side. Through the self made rain while he stood in the stream, spear in hand, he saw the young woman there, watching him.
She'd seen. In anger, Mordred throw the spear at her head. It stopped right before it hit her between the eyes, frozen in midair. ~I will end your life if you tell them what I can do, understood? ~ He spoke into her mind watching her with his pale blue eyes.

After the confrontation with Jason, Nerine had finished her bout of fishing and was just wondering around in the forest, not really paying attention to anything before she saw Mordred, a new Amazon Warrior, at the river.
She was about to wave to let him know of her presence when she saw the water rise, shooting water, fish and stone everywhere before he turned his eyes at her and threw his spear at her.
About to move, Nerine saw it stop before her eyes and she heard Mordred's voice in her head before her silvery blue eyes looked at him with empathy and understanding. ~Don't worry Mordred, I won't tell anyone.... It'll be much safer for you anyway...~ Her own musical yet slightly mystical voice replied back in Telepathy as she smiled softly.
Her bow on her back with one sword at her side, she never had them in her hands save in the presence of the real Amazons, she hated violence anyway as Nerine waited for Mordred to call back his spear. Her bluish white hair trickling down her back in gentle waves till it reached her lower back.

Mordred took a deep breath and let it out slowly when she actually sent a thought back. He whispered something under his breath, focused his eyes on the spear, with the irises turning golden for a second, and held out his hand. The spear flew straight into his waiting hand and he tilted his head at her. "You're hiding a secret too then I see..." Mordred reached into his hair and brushed the now wet curls back slightly, moving to the first flailing fish by the side.
He quickly stabbed the first with the sword then moved carefully over to the next and did that one as well. It was most definitely an easier way of fishing this. Mordred held out his hand when he was close enough to her in greeting. "I'm Mordred." Arthur's killer, Mordred thought in the back of his mind and that dark spark of delight flickered to life behind his eyes.
An angelic faced killer...

Nerine nodded as she gracefully walked towards him, stepping through the water with ease and without a flinch in the difference in temperature. "Many of us have secrets Mordred..... Because many of us are not from this place, and very few realise this....." She stated as she approached him, her silvery blue eyes not at all shifting with the changing colours of Mordred's eyes.
She smiled softly as she shook his hand, "I'm Nerine.... Though I think you already know that...." She smiled knowingly as she stepped back to slightly wring her wet, long hair. She'd seen Mordred watching her a few times though never let him know that she knew about that. It was sweet in a way how he just watched her.
Watching Mordred stab the fish, Nerine stayed silent. They had their own ways of fishing, when she was watched by the other Amazons, she always used a net, if not a spear but she preferred herding the fish into a net either through voice or by movement.

Modred gave her a smirk when she said that many of them were not from that place. That much was true. He'd met a person who was not from this place already in the cells. He knew all about the world swapping but he just thought he was because he'd died. These were all just tests he had to endure so he could eventually push to the ultimate destiny which was heaven. Not that he thought he was worthy but he had definitely tried to help where he could and when he could while in the kingdom of Camelot and beyond its reaches.
Once all the fish he'd shot out of the water were speared and ready to take home he spun the spear around and slammed the end into the ground before running his hands through his hair in a frustrated fashion letting his eyes skim the area, lightly before they flashed back to Nerine. "I'm sorry for scaring you Nerine... and I know you felt my eyes on you. I'm a people watcher. You pick up so much from just standing back and watching." He took a deep breath and let it out again relaxing his tensed up shoulders.
"There's magic in you too then? I can sense it but it's more elemental... Would you explain? You certainly have nothing to fear from me." He offered, his blue eyes soft, kind as they examined her beautiful silver eyes. So many strange and wondrous creatures he was meeting here. It definitely made him feel like that small blue eyed boy he once was, so heavily fascinated with the world around him.

Nerine saw Mordred's smirk but simply smiled in return as she watched him, it was strange how many of the people she had seen since coming here were slightly similar to her, and yet so different.
Nerine then shrugged, "Wouldn't be the first time I've been almost speared, let alone speared..... I should have approached from in front of you in hindsight...." She stated before smiling, "Yes, I've known.... I just wasn't sure whether to say so or not...." She replied with a cuter shrug and a slight blush.
Nerine then smiled as she sat on a rock, "I'm half Mermaid, and half Water Nymph, so I have some control over water.... Not as much as a pure Water Nymph, and definitely not as adept as a Child of Poseidon, but enough...." She stated before she looked at the water and hovered her hand over it.
Focusing a little, Nerine began to hum softly and the vibrations rippled in the water over where her hand was. Slowly, the water came together before rising up in a cascade of water, spilling over itself as it rose higher as Nerine's pitch changed; all the time, her silvery blue eyes remaining focused whilst reflecting the water.

Mordred shrugged his shoulders when she sorta apologized for coming at him from behind and set his eyes across the beautiful location they found themselves in. "I'm just tense and confused. I never knew the shadow world would be like this. " He glanced at her with a soft smile. "I was a stag before I became this you know. Then I woke up one morning with spears in my face and women shouting at me." He quirked a brow then wrinkled his nose a little before returning his clear blue eyes to the waterfall.
Mordred moved to sit next to her when she went to sit down and bit into his bottom lip when she seemed to blush at the thought of him watching her. "Wow, most girls find my staring creepy. You're blushing about it. You are different aren't you?" Mordred watched her move her hand over the water and his eyes widened when she preformed her trick for him.
"That's impressive. " Mordred held out his palm and whispered some magical words, his eyes momentarily flashing gold before two tiny fire flies appeared above his palm. He pulled his fingers together then straightened them out sharply sending the little fireflies dancing through the water, weaving beautifully to make a glow inside of the water and them outside of it. Mordred smiled softly, tilting his head in delight at the beauty of their conjoined creations.

Nerine cocked her head to him as he mentioned a shadow world, "The Shadow World? What's that?" She first asked before continuing, "I'm pretty sure this is not... That...... At least it isn't Tartarus which is what I thought this place was when I first got here." She stated with a sigh.
Nerine turned to him with a look of surprise when he said that he was a Stag prior to coming here before a look of understanding crossed her face, "That's what Viateita meant! And she was right about there being different realms!" She realised as she let a fist fall into her hand with a slight slap of skin against skin.
Nerine blushed further at that as she rubbed the back of her neck, "Well, I don't normally get noticed when around either kind of my kin so.... Yeah...." She mumbled a little as her blushing travelled from her cheeks to her neck.
Smiling, Nerine was about to let the water ease back into the river but then she heard Mordred say a few words and then watched as two fireflies appeared in his hands. They then darted into the water turret that she made and she watched in awe and wonder at the conjoining of gifts as she turned and smiled at Mordred before turning back. She didn't to hum to keep up her powers, only to start them off.

Mordred blinked when she mentioned Tartarus. He knew that ancient Greece and Rome called it just that. Tartarus, the underworld, the shadow world. He'd spent his whole life being educated in Latin, philosophy and many other such things so he knew very well what she meant when she said what she said. Mordred nodded slowly before offering her a softened smile. "Tartarus. Yes. The shadow world. I expect to be pushed into another body at any point again but so far, I have only had this one and the deer I mentioned earlier." He'd never look at deer the same way after being hunted as one.
In fact, he refrained from eating Venison now. "It might be, Nerine. It might be a testing ground for different souls. We cannot say for sure and we never know. " He answered softly letting his eyes thoughtfully venture to the skies. No shadow land could look this beautiful though. The shadow land was dark and cold and fiery. This was a beautiful place.
Even the woodlands had reminded him of Camalot. In fact, he'd even gone searching for Morgana when he was lost there as a deer. He was sure out of all the people in Camelot, she would have recognized him. Mordred's face changed into slight disgust when she mentioned the Princess of the tribe and he sneered down at the water. "You're her friend then?" How could he trust her now?
But it was already too late. He'd already revealed to her what he could do. Mordred smirked though just as quickly as the sneer came when he heard her words about not getting noticed as much and he bit into his bottom lip watching the fireflies dance. Finally he held his hand gently to the fireflies and against murmured some words under his breath making the fireflies burst into little fragments of light and disappear into the water, his eyes glowing a gold momentarily once more.
He offered Nerine a slight smile. "It's a shame they don't notice you. They don't know what they are missing then. I'd notice you in a crowd." He pulled a leg against his chest and lay his folded hands on top his knee so he could rest his cheek against his hands, his blue eyes washing over the strange little hybrid creature beside him.
"They're gonna notice I've been missing too long and get suspicious. I should head back." ... and yet he made no move to leave.

Nerine sighed as she looked at Mordred, "This place... Seems like something I'm familiar with, and yet it isn't..... But what you're saying, means that there are other places here....." She shivered, "I hope none of them are dry deserts.... That would be my end for certain!" She stated, a quake of fear in her voice as she curled herself into a ball.
"It seems so strange that we are all brought here together... Beings from different worlds and thrown into this central place...." Nerine sighed as she looked around, "Is this.... Some sort of absurd dream realm which we have no control over? Are we merely pawns in someone's play?" She mused aloud.
Nerine raised an eyebrow, "In that she trusts me with information and to go fishing by myself, yes.... But I'm not one of them.... So I wouldn't call us friends, merely Allies who use each other... And who I can shadow under to get people out of the cages...." She replied, somewhat darkly at this point. In all honesty, she just wanted to go home and be with her Mother again.... She missed her...
Watching Mordred alter their creation again, Nerine hummed as she delicately twisted her hands a little so the turret slightly separated so the water flowed in twisting river-lets held only in check by the air as they created an intricate pattern.
Nerine blushed fully at this, her cheeks, her neck and slightly her chest at this point as she rubbed the area of her neck/chest where the tips of the collarbone were closest. "In comparison to the full-blooded Nymphs or Mermaids that are my kin and kinds, I am but a pale imitation..... I do not mind too much, means that I can have a swim to myself without fear of getting caught.... Plus it meant I could just be me...." She replied as she turned her silvery blue orbs to Mordred's.
"They won't worry till the sun sets.... Besides, a Hunt can often take all day, and you're here with me so......" Nerine left her sentence drift off as she continued looking at him in the eyes, not at all afraid.

Mordred shook his head slightly and reached out a hand to carefully feather his touch against her bare arm. "I will find you. Do not fear. I will trudge though an entire desert and I'll find you, alright?" He asked gently offering her a comforting smile, his blue eyes shining brightly back at her. Mordred listened to her muse. God, hadn't he mused the same things back when he was a deer with no one but his own thoughts to accompany him.
"I guess we just have to wait and see what happens. I'm sure if we stick together we can find a way out of this mess? " He offered her, though... he didn't truly think he wanted to go back to his own realm. If this was a dream, he never wanted to wake up. He was very much quite content to just sit in this dream world where he wasn't going to die by Arthur's blade. His eyes searched the beautiful scenery making sure he recognized nothing.
But this was a jungle and not the woods. The plants weren't ones he could name and the whole place sounded different. Mordred smirked when he heard her words of letting people out. "I had the same ideas. We're on the outside of those cages. We're the lucky ones. " Mordred commented smirking slightly back at her. Mordred watched her hand flutter to where she was rubbing and his attention drew to her cleavage. He was a man after all and she was making it rather obvious that he was making her feel good as well.
The young druid's eyes widened and he looked away quickly, hoping she hadn't noticed where his eyes had strayed to. He instead fixed his eyes forward looking at everything but her. He also curled his legs up against his chest a bit more so she wouldn't noticed that he was taking an interest in her too. "Sometimes people tend to overlook beautiful things..." He murmured, his eyes focused on a flower on the other side of the river bank instead of her.
Mordred swallowed when he heard her last words and his eyes flashed to meet hers searching them for a moment. "So?" He asked softly moving a hand to slide his fingers under her hair so his palm was against her cheek and he began leaning closer wondering if she'd pull away, startled by his reaction, screaming that he had been taking things entirely the wrong way.
Oh God what if she did reject him....

Nerine's head whipped around as she felt Mordred's feather light touch on her arm, but instead of brushing it away like she had with Jason, Nerine found herself liking it as she looked up at Mordred and smiled. "And if you're ever in an eternal ocean, I'll help you swim...." She smiled in return, her heart beating a little faster.
Nerine nodded, "Yeah..... Though honestly, the only thing that I would go back to my world for....Is my Mother...." She stated honestly as she rubbed the back of her neck as she put down the bow and her other weapons next to Mordred's pile. Allowing her to roll her shoulders from all the weight.
Nerine chuckled, "I've already let out one person..... Not that he seemed grateful when I said I couldn't go with him.... Then he tried to swim back to his city, Atlantis, which he seems sure exists still...." She sighed as she shook her head at this.
Nerine spotted Mordred shift a little awkwardly but didn't quite know why as she looked out at the bank and their still swirling creation as Nerine smiled. "Everyone's version of beauty is different I suppose....." She stated, until his words slightly clicked in her mind as she turned to him a little.
Locked in his gaze, Nerine couldn't find any words to say as she slightly saw his hand dive under her hair till his gentle touch caressed her cheek and Nerine leaned her head a little against it with a soft sigh, her eyes shut a little.
Opening them again, the silvery blue eyes seemed to sparkle and change colour on their own as Nerine saw Mordred lean towards her, not wanting to say anything to break the moment as she leaned towards him, something pulling them together.

Mordred's eyes softened and a soft smile graced his features when she said she would help him swim. She didn't seem to dislike his touches. This wasn't good. This wasn't good at all. If he got pulled away from her... he'd be devastated. She'd be hurting too. Mordred frowned deeply back at her. She reminded him of Kara and how quickly they fell in love with one another. How close they were to each other from the first time he'd given her a flower after the attack on their camp which had killed her mother, just because Morgana had decided to join them.
Kara was only a child. It had been so horrible for her. She'd become vengeful against the Pendragons from then on. He'd felt so sorry for her. He'd tried to explain that not all flowers were weeds and not all weeds were flowers but it had not sank in like he'd hoped... He didn't think he'd ever recover from loosing Kara and he hated the Pendragons now. All that vanished the moment she leaned in closer to him for the promised kiss. His heart raced as they got closer and closer.
Then finally their lips touched and he felt a little buzz rush straight through his body and down into his stomach making it flip completely. Once their lips did touch, he deepened the kiss considerably taking a quick breath in as if he was breathing her into him. The kiss came slowly and almost reluctantly to it's end and his eyes fluttered open to dance across her features for a moment before he let a smile cross his face. "So does this make me yours as far as the tribe is concerned?" He murmured against her lips, curling his fingers and raking them through her hair, tenderly.

Seeing his smile, Nerine's own smile brightened as she looked at him, she'd kept her heart locked away from everyone else in her life so this was slightly scaring her at how she could just connect with Mordred, but it was.... Warming really.
Seeing his frown, Nerine cupped his cheek. "Just because we might be separated..... Doesn't mean we shouldn't go against what our hearts want, Mordred...." She sighed so softly it could barely be heard as she swallowed a lump in her throat, "Just because, this place may take us away from each other.... I know that I'd find you again....."
When their lips touched, Nerine's heart seemed to skip a beat and yet double in time at the exact same moment as she simply took in the moment. She'd heard stories from the others who'd had such things happen to them but.... They seemed so pale in comparison.
When Mordred deepened the kiss, Nerine took a quick breath in before she replied, letting Mordred know her in a way no-one else ever had before as she sighed softly against his lips. When the kiss ended, Nerine let out a slight groan at the loss of something so.... Blissful as she rested her head against Mordred's.
When she opened her eyes, Nerine saw Mordred smile as a similar one graced her face before she chuckled a little at his statement, "Honestly... I don't really care about the tribe right now..... Besides, it's only the slaves who are 'claimed', seen as it is quite strange for there to be Male Amazon Warriors....." She stated before smiling, "But it will, if it also makes me yours....." She whispered back, enjoying the feel of her hair being raked through in such a tender manner. It was something that she didn't think she'd enjoy from someone other than her Mother, but this.... This felt a lot different.... A good kind though.

You have been visited byThere are quite a few mermaids lurking about the beach area and they even stray further than that. Be careful though. They have a habit of luring men closer and then drowning them. They hunt in packs of 3 to 5.
A soft song is heard from within the tiny little just a few steps away and three heads appear singing a lovely song to the young man, bewitching him. It seems that Nerine is not the only mermaid who noticed Mordred but these mean to do him only harm. Their smiles are inviting, their eyes are innocent, their hands beckon for him... Next person to reply, Mordred is in control of the Mermaids. Enjoy your visiting surprise and keep to character.
