It had been five days since the King's Birthday, and Elizabeth was slowly getting..... Worse every day. She had no doubt that Jamie had picked up on something being off with his 'Boss' but there was no way she could explain to him what was going on, there was little to no chance of him understanding, despite his obvious intelligence, he was still only a boy.
Pacing in her room, Elizabeth waited for some sort of reply from a servant. She had sent a message in order to have an audience with the Queen, she had a feeling that she would sympathetic to her cause and would be the most understanding.
There was certainly going to be no way that Elizabeth would be able to speak with Blaine, her emotions were already starting to broadcast and spike beyond her regular control, and she had two weeks, approximately, left to tend to any other business before she had to leave. For the good of others, not necessarily herself.
Patting her hairline dry of sweat for what she swore was the 100th time, Elizabeth sighed as she heard the door being knocked on and snapped. "Come!" She immediately sighed and out her head in her hands as a young girl came in to say that the Queen was ready.
"Sorry my dear..... Thank you..." She replied softly as she brushed down her cream dress, thankfully one of her designs which was more conservative than the dress she wore to the King's Birthday. Not quite so figure-hugging or low in the front neck yet still helped Elizabeth to feel somewhat practical, friendly and approachable to other people both noble and common as she gracefully made her way up.
Steering clear of any Males of course as she waited outside the Queen's quarters to be received as she gave a final brush down of her appearance so that nothing seemed to amiss, save for the swirls in her normally calm green eyes which gave away her diminishing control.
Time was running out for the calm Angel.

The note had come during her daily meditation session, so the young queen hadn't gotten it until almost an hour later. As she rose from her knees, it was slipped to her, along with several others. She discarded a few, relegated others to the King's command, and finally chose the ones she would entertain. Nalaac let loose with a soft sigh, unhappy that she had to attend duties today, she'd been hoping to go for a ride with the King. However, duty called, and she would find some time with him alone this afternoon.
After dressing in a deep green gown that gently hugged her figure before flaring out into a bell from her hips. She paired it with simple, vine like jewelery, and then settled into her chair, and beckoned forward the first supplicant. An elderly woman came forward, bowing and kissing Nalaac's hand before airing her grievance. Nalaac promised that the issue would be looked into, offered assistance and the woman went away pleased. This process was repeated several times, the Queen rarely making real decisions, simply deferring the problems to investigation. Everyone went away happy however.
Nalaac could feel Liz's emotions beating against her calm bubble, and she waved away her ladies, sensing that this would be something more personal. The elder elf that was eternally at her side stayed as Nalaac beckoned the guard to allow the Angel entrance.
"Mistress Elizabeth, what brings you to my chambers today?"

Elizabeth entered the room before curtsying, thankful that the other servants left. The Elder Elf she didn't mind being there as she approached, being mindful of any gentlemen nearby as she took a steadying breath as she fought to keep a very firm control. It wasn't as bad today but still...... "Thank you for seeing me today your Majesty, I apologise if I am diverting some of your time from elsewhere...." She started before letting out a steady breath.
"Something has... Come to my attention that needs to soon be addressed, and I must ask permission for some time away from the Castle on.... Personal matters... Which need to attended on my own." Elizabeth stated, slightly darting around the issue as she was unsure of how to phrase herself with such things.
She was violating an Angel's most sacred tradition by even thinking of divulging such information, but she had no choice. This world was not her own and thus certain people need to have been made aware, otherwise there would be rather dire consequences on her part if she simply disappeared one night.

"It is well, Mistress Elizabeth." Nalaac spoke gently, seeing that something was bothering the other woman, not to mention feeling it. She and the Elder exchanged glances, and with a few muttered words, a heavier blanket of calm came down over the room, soothing even Elizabeth's fragile nerves.
"This calm will not last long, Mistress Elizabeth, I hope it provides some measure of relief. Unfortunately, you are the King's servant, and not mine. Your request must be routed through him." Nalaac rose from her chair and walked closer to the Angel. She kept her voice low, for although they seemed to be alone, one never knew for sure.
"I will speak to Blaine on your behalf, but you will have to make the request. I'd suggest you do it in writing, and then leave. He will be angry, but I will deal with it. If you are already gone, then he can do little to prevent it, and his questions will wait until you return. Do you wish to have a guard sent with you, the woods can be dangerous."

The calm Elizabeth gladly accepted as she visibly and emotionally relaxed as she rubbed her forehead, her eyes shutting for a few moments before they opened again, the swirling green stopped and her stable emeralds returned, if only for a few moments as Elizabeth sighed. "Thank you, your Majesty..... Hopefully, this calm will be enough in order to explain..." She paused slightly, trying to find her wording.
Listening to Nalaac, Elizabeth nodded. "I realise this, your Majesty... I simply wanted to make someone aware of my..... 'Situation' I suppose would be the best word for it..... Besides, I have, at most, two weeks to wrap up any business and to teach my Apprentice anything that he'll need to know while I'm gone...." She stated before smiling, "My Queen, you need not worry about my safety.... Where I need to go does not require me to go by foot.... Rather by sky......" She explained, touched by the concern shown by the young woman.
Elizabeth sighed, "Writing my request will be better for both parties......" She agreed before she rubbed her head, not quite sure what to begin as she paced a little, her wings twitching a little but she straightened her back almost completely rigid, she wasn't sure how the Queen felt about the appearance of wings, seeing as the last time Nalaac saw them was when Elizabeth was healing her, and they had not spoken since really.

"Are you sure that you cannot stay in the castle, simply hidden away?" Nalaac's mind was racing as she set to pacing, indicating that Elizabeth should follow. "Is there not any way you can stay? You know that you won't actually be able to depart for three months once you've arrived. Has it been so long already?"
Nalaac didn't know when the Angel had arrived, as Blaine had run into her first, but she knew that the girl was a recent addition to the castle. It couldn't have been so long that she'd be switching realms already. She looked up to see the other woman standing rigid and sighed softly.
"Mistress Elizabeth, be at ease, let them out if it will help. Have you thought about travelling to my village? We Elves might be able to assist you. Blaine and I have to make a trip, and it might be worthwhile to have you split from us at that point, if you don't wish to go all of the way with us." Nalaac tried to think of ways to help the other woman, although she didn't really know what was going on.

Elizabeth followed the Queen before she paused, "Oh... It's... Not about the jumping, I suppose is a good word for it... It's more.. Personal... And, I wish I could but, my biology states otherwise..." She sighed.
At the Queen's allowance of letting out her wings, Elizabeth nodded as she moved to the widest part of the room before she felt the skin begin to rip. Thankfully, her back was faced a wall so Nalaac didn't see the ripping skin as the feathers slide out slowly before her wings were out and they gave a powerful beat, the white wings stretching themselves out to their full span, double Elizabeth's arm span by ease, to align the bones. Elizabeth sighed as she felt the skin seamlessly knit itself together and join to the wing as she resumed her place by the Queen. "Thank you, my Queen... I try not to let them out as the servants are not too sure about my wings..... My Apprentice amongst them." She chuckled softly.
Elizabeth sighed, "For some reason, being in this world and away from my own has quickened my cycle to the point that I am approaching what my Species calls the Season..... It occurs generally every five years in the winter months, but for some reason I am experiencing the fore-warnings of it approximately three months early...." She explained, keeping to the facts for now, even if they are somewhat vague but the Queen was very intelligent.
That Elizabeth didn't doubt.

"You are welcome to be comfortable in my presence, Mistress. My ladies will adjust. They've seen far stranger things." Nalaac knew that some of the girls might be a bit upset at seeing the wings, but after a few days and curious stares it would pass over like the 15 second wonder that it was. They'd adjusted well enough to the magic that was worked in this chamber almost daily.
"Ahh, I understand. Please, do not worry about telling me further details. Yes, I believe that your exit will be needed as well. The elven village will still be the safest place since it is shielded and guarded, but you must go where you think is best." The only evidence of the queen's discomfort with this subject was the light blush on her cheeks. Such things were not to be discussed, but apparently the Angel's problem was more forceful than the usual animal cycles that Nalaac had seen.
"Do what you must, just be aware that the King will have words with you when you return. I would appreciate it if you did not let his anger take a sexual direction." Although the words were spoken quietly, there was a sense of venom and danger in them. Nalaac saw Liz as something of a rival, even if there was no reason to see her in such a way.

Elizabeth smiled graciously as she inclined her head, "I shall remember this, my Queen. Thank you." She stated, grateful that the Queen was extremely understanding, despite her youth she held incredible wisdom well beyond her years. It would rival that of her own daughter's who was four times the Queen's age....
Such a thought sent a painful pang through Elizabeth's heart as she touched her locket unconsciously before she brought herself back tot he present as she saw the blush on the Queen's cheek at such a..... Personal subject. "I appreciate the offer, your Majesty. But the safest place for me is the mountains, no creature either Humanoid or animal travel as high as the Angels do..." She replied, though she was truly thankful for such thoughts.
Elizabeth smiled softly at Nalaac's words of having to speak to the King. "If I return prior to my jumping, I will be more than capable to manage, and able to be within, the King's presence, let alone manage his anger, my Queen." She stated before hearing, and sensing, the venom and danger so smiled reassuringly. "My Queen, you need not fear me and my.... Problem, standing between your Majesties... My instincts already mark his Majesty as yours... Even when higher reasoning is gone, such marks are still there to be picked up..... I have had 156 years of life to be able to have quite a fair amount of control over myself...." She assured with a warm smile.

Nalaac nodded to the woman's reasoning. She would know how best to handle her fertile times, and the queen saw no need to argue. As far as she was concerned, it was a good thing that Liz was leaving. Less temptation for the King. Especially if this was going to be as bad as Liz was making it out to be.
"Be safe, and I'm sure you will return to us safe and sound. If you do not, we will keep your things until such time as you do return. You will eventually." Nalaac knew that most travellers cycled through, so it was really just a matter of time until Liz came back to the kingdom, and if they had folks watching for her, then they'd find her no matter what her situation.
Nalaac gave a small, tight laugh. "Do not mistake my warning for fear, Mistress. I simply know the king, and I am telling you what I would like. What you choose to do with that information is up to you. I care not for your age, or your experience, or your markings. I've seen how little such things matter when he is being seductive. I am simply giving you warning of what might happen."

Elizabeth nodded, thankful that the Queen understood. "There may be some circumstances in which I am able to come down.... But they will be few, and the only people I will be able to be around is others of my gender, and children.... Hopefully though, Gods willing... This is only a false alarm.... I hope...." She sighed heavily as she rubbed the two rings on her left hand, one a simple gold whereas the other held an Emerald and two small Amber stones, intricately held together by strings of silver.
Elizabeth smiled, "Hence why it would be better for all, your Majesty... And hence why I keep quite a fair distance away from many." She replied, she felt the calm slowly fading but she tried to compensate by using her own pulses to intertwine so that she wouldn't suffer from shock of having calm and then everything over-riding her reason.
She was already mentally penning the letter that she would write tot he King and would pen it once she was dismissed from the Queen's presence.
But her concern turned to the young woman for a while, and it slightly showed in her eyes along with her warmth for all, not matter rank or status. "Whilst I am still here though, might I inquire as to your physical health? Has the Healing managed to keep yourself fit, my Queen?" She knew that sometimes after a miscarriage, especially the first, there are sometimes areas that are damaged which would go unnoticed for some time.

Nalaac gave the other woman a smile. She could see that the Elder's charm was fading, but she had said that it wouldn't last very long. "I am healing as I should. Elves are remarkable healers in most cases, and with your assistance, it was not as bad as it could have been. Thank you."
It was not a topic that the queen particularly wanted to discuss, but it was only fair as the other woman had treated her during the worst of it. Nalaac sighed softly and then turned back to the other woman. "Is there any way to make a charm or a potion of some sort, so that his Majesty can only be with me?"
A light blush colored her cheeks, but Nalaac wanted a child, and if she had to result to magic, then she would. Blaine couldn't be faithful on his own, and she was tired of waiting. One way or another, she would get pregnant.

Elizabeth nodded, at least that was one less worry on her shoulders as her smile brightened a little, "I'm glad to hear that, my Queen." She stated, knowing that Nalaac probably didn't want to talk about it so she only planned to ask that one question, just so that she was sure.
Elizabeth hummed at Nalaac's question, slightly crossing her arms but one of them reaching up as her left first finger curled under her lip, her two rings twinkling in the light as her green eyes sparkled in thought of a challenge. "Not for a permanent amount of time, no..... Not from any knowledge I know of..... Even love potions wear off..... But....." She trailed off as her brain started to think, her emotions and instincts taking back-stage as her mind regained control over her body, even if it's only for a short amount of time as she hummed in thought, "Unless..... No, no... Bad side-effects... Maybe? Goodness, Elizabeth no! Don't be so..... But perhaps...." She muttered to herself as she paced a little, her wings going slightly still in thought but they were not twitching now.
After a while of muttering, Elizabeth stopped as a lightbulb went in her brain. "Hmmm... Maybe.... If only for one night... Intermixed with the potion I gifted him which is to be taken on a Full Moon anyway then..... But if he so much as tastes... Well, I'll risk that... At least I have a few vials that I previously have filled so my current type won't create any unnecessary distractions...."" She mused to herself as her finger feel and she hugged herself a little, the ticks of her brain could almost be faintly heared but it certainly helped with her control.

It was amusing watching the other woman pace and think. You could almost see the wheels spinning inside of her head as she worked out the best way to do things. Nalaac let her mutter and pace, moving to settle on a bench and taking up some embroidery while Elizabeth figured things out for her.
The muttering continued, and then suddenly stopped, and Nalaac looked up at the Angel. "Don't misunderstand, Mistress, I don't really need a love spell, just a faithfulness spell, and that only for a week. It's an Elven mating requirement, and I want children. Blaine is unable, or unwilling, to meet this clause, so I need a way to make it happen. You seem to be my best chance." Spilling her plan hadn't been the intent, but Nalaac couldn't seem to help herself. She wanted and needed someone to talk to that she could trust, and by Elizabeth coming to her first, that trust had been established.
"I know that I should be careful, and I will, I just want to know that there's some way to bind him to me for a week while we attempt for a child." Nalaac would sacrifice herself for a child in a heartbeat, and the loss of Brady's meant that her heart more keenly wept and wailed for another to love and cherish.

Humming at this information and the divulging of the Queen's plan, Elizabeth nodded in understanding. "Well, in theory I could manipulate some of the blood that I have collected from myself to specifically raise an emotional bond to you.... Which, if I add to his daily Sleeping drafts, not only would the couple of drops of blood negate the effects of the draft but if taken with the fertility potion I gave him for his birthday....." She paused as she let this run through the Queen's mind.
She'd been sure to add the fact that only a couple of drops of her blood would be needed per potion, and she could always specifically label that they were to be used when the Queen asked for an amount of 7 if they were going away, and she'd leave very specific instructions of when they and the vials of blood were to be used.
Though, Elizabeth was getting the feeling that something was going to hinder the plan, at least for a while but she couldn't quite place what that was precisely.
Her eyes softened considerably at Nalaac's confession of the fact that she was asking Elizabeth for help, and how desperately she wanted a child. The last part she could really empathise with, she herself was quite similar in her want for child almost 70 years ago. 'Was it really that long ago, John?' She suddenly thought to herself as she sighed a little at that thought, her thumb caressing the back of her rings as she fought against simply sitting by the young Queen to give some physical comfort.
She was a mother herself after all.... Never minding the fact that she was also a grandmother and great-grandmother... Maybe even great-great grandmother by now if she truly thought about it!
