[Jamie Lane]

Jamie had been learning a lost recently. Which animals had which properties, stones, herbs and where to find them. At least the person who had been the doctor before had been smart enough to write about a thousand books and scrolls. Or maybe this was just generation after generation of information. Trial and error and such. He was on his own this time, collecting herbs. A messenger bag was slung over his shoulder, he had a blade to his hip and a nice relaxed fitting clothes on instead of his armor.

Since Liz had disappeared he'd become more of a healer than he was a knight. That was fine with Jamie though. He liked being what he was. People needed help and he would be there to help them. Naturally that was how things worked wasn't it? Jamie missed Liz. He wasn't that confident when it came to helping someone. He tried though and normally his guesses were either right or they did nothing. What if one day, they happened to be wrong? Liz had often treated him like a child who knew very little.

What if she had been right? Liz was lucky she still had her head. The way she treated Blaine too.. He smirked and sat down on a rock close by a little stream for a rest pulling out a water sack to drink from. Then he saw movement and he darted behind a tree peering out to see exactly what was going on in the distance.

[Charlise Aura]

Walking silently through the forest, Charlise sighed as she swing her basket a little from her wrist, making sure the flowers and fruit she had collected wouldn't fall out as she came across the stream and put down her basket. Sitting down, Charlise took off her shoes and let her feet simply dip into the water.

This time she'd kinda already blew a few things, she'd snapped at someone trying to help her (even though she was more than able to take out three Troll/Ogres whatever they were for Andraste's sake!) and she still hadn't managed to find him yet to apologise and pay him back for the gold he gave her. "No wonder people never want to come near you Charlise.... Despite trying, you always come out the wrong way..... Maybe people are right to hate me...... Why do I even try? Is it because I just want to be liked, or just to try and prove magic isn't a bad thing?" She mused to herself, tears cropping up in her eyes.

She was alone in this world, she'd even forgotten to pick up her weapons just in case... Maybe it was better for everyone if she'd just died right now.... Of course, she wouldn't commit suicide, it is wrong in the eyes of the Maker.... But right now she didn't care if a wolf came and ate her, or some random madman came and stole her forbidden fruit before killing her.

The gates finally opened as her tears came from her silvery grey eyes and fell down her pale white cheeks, showing just how lonely she was, she didn't know where Bell was and no-one else wanted to know her...... "Maybe Keili was right.... All Mages must be cleansed of their Magic and returned to the Maker.... It would make everyones lives better..... Mind Mother would be berating me right about now if she heard me...." Charlise muttered angrily to herself as she hugged herself, completely vulnerable and alone.

[Jamie Lane]

The moment he saw it was the girl who had punched him, the mage, he darted behind the tree pressing his back firmly to it. As he kept listening to her, he winced a little at her words and peeked out. Was she crying? Urgh, he couldn't stand it when girls cried. He downright hated it. He couldn't stay behind that tree and hide while she cried her eyes out. He gave a heavy sigh and slowly leaned in to scoop up a flower, a yellow one that had been growing beside the tree, plucking it right out of the ground, then he gathered up his courage and approached her.

Jamie sat down beside her adjusting his back before offering her the flower.
"You aren't gonna hit me again are you? "
He asked cautiously wincing a little and giving her a wounded puppy dog look. He was merely trying to lighten the tension that had grown between them. He then offered her a smile and held out his free hand to her.
"Let's try this again. Hi. I'm Jamie Lane."
He offered with a hopeful smile.

[Charlise Aura]

Jumping a little as she saw the Knight, Ser James, come out from behind a tree, Charlise quickly turned away and tried to dry her eyes a little before she felt him sit next to her as he presented the flower to her.

Laughing a little weakly at his question, Charlise delicately plucked it from his fingers and shook her fair head, "N-ooo...." She tried to say, but her voice cracked a little so she cleared her throat a little to try again. "I've been..... Meaning to apologise for that and.... And to explain but everything time I tried to find you, I couldn't...." She stated as she looked at him

Seeing the hand, Charlise smiled as she shook it, "Charlise.... Technically, Charlise Wynne Aura but.... Mages don't usually live by their family name...." She replied, her other hand spinning the flower a little innocently as she took a long inhale of it's scent.

[Jamie Lane]

Jamie smiled when she laughed and took the flower from him nodding softly.
"Good to hear. I'm glad about that. "
He murmured at her in a soft voice hoping to comfort her a little. They'd not parted on the best of terms and he prayed this would be different, that they could actually get along this time and make friends. Jamie shrugged off her apology. He was a hard person to find. He was always too busy to do much.

He took her hand in his and lightly shook it before slowly slowing the shaking down, his blue eyes widening.
"Aura? Uh... you're not like... a teeny bit of an angel right?"
The surname. It was the same as Elizabeth's surname. Oh Damn it! Why hadn't he remembered? Now Liz was gone... Oh God.

"I know an Aura. She used to be the court physician. She disappeared just a couple of weeks ago. She was an angel. "
He'd have wanted someone to hook him and Bell up if things were turned around.
"Are you guys related?"

[Charlise Aura]

Charlise smiled softly as she looked at the flower in her hand and gently felt each petal, like it was something still relatively new to her before she started to explain. "Where I come from... People like me are distrusted from the moment we show any sign of Magic, we're locked away from the rest of the world.... And handled like a ticking bomb..." She paused as she took a deep breath before continuing, "It wasn't until this..... Horrible war with tainted creatures and almost a Civil War that Mages were trusted..... Could fight at the side of warriors..... So... I kind felt like you were trying to not let me fight because you didn't trust me.... And I reacted in the wrong way, and I'm really, really sorry I slapped you...."

Cocking her head, Charlise shook her head. "I don't know what an..... Angel is so.... I don't think so....." She stated before listening to his story and nodding a little as she recognised the link between Aura and the Physician, "Oh... Lady Elizabeth? No, we're not related... We're from different worlds.... She came by one day and asked who I was and how I came here, where I've been and who I've met but... No, I'm not related to her no." Was her swift reply before she sighed. "So the cruel Fates that rule these places have taken her before her time to 'Jump'...." She sighed heavily at this news.

[Jamie Lane]

Jamie quirked a brow when he started getting another life story, more wierdness. But to be polite, he sat and listened. Where Jamie came from, war time as well, people kept their mouthes shut to avoid getting any information being used against them. Obviously people are more naive from other realms or the 21st century just had smarter people in it. Jamie let his mind drift back to his home, the farm, the serenity, the peace, the weed and getting high with Reece. Talking about the future and the past, giggling...hunting...

Babe.... Oh he missed his little pig the most. He wondered how big she'd gotten. He wondered at whose heels she was nipping now. A faint smile came to his lips as he stared at his own reflection in the water waiting for Charlise to get it all out. He nodded every so often. Sometimes people just wanted to talk about themselves. Not get advice or sympathy. They just wanted to talk and have someone at least pretend to listen. He'd learned that with Liz and now he was learning that with this woman.

Jamie offered her a slight smile when she said she was sorry and nodded, shrugging. Then came the Liz talk and he frowned instantly. So, she didn't know Liz?
"Wow, weird. You guys were in the exact same realm with the exact same surname and it's not like Lane or Smith. It's a rather unique surname. "
He said softly. What were the chances of that happening. Slim to none expect.
"Anyway, She left. I took over."
He patted the bag at his side and offered her a soft smile.

"So if you ever need anything, you'll have a physician at the castle ready to serve you. Course I might not be as good as her but I paid attention when she spoke so I know my herbs."
Jamie rolled his eyes at the Mage's words smirking a little.
"You make it sound so dramatic. I'm excited to Jump. I wanna see what's out there. I wanna find my baby brother. People say they spotted him around. "
Course they said he was a speedster but it was Bell, definitely.

Blue eyes, blond hair, cocky smirk, always playing tricks on people, speaks fast. It was Bell, for sure.

[Charlise Aura]

Charlise smiled softly, "If you think that was my life-story, don't worry..... I haven't graced you with the whole thing yet, I am not stupid!" She chuckled before she looked at him, "Tell me about your world, I'm.... Kinda curious if I'm honest..... But only if you want to talk about it of course, I won't push you." She stated as she continued stroking the flower delicately with her dainty scholarly fingers.

Charlise shrugged a little at that, her black hair slightly blowing in the breeze. "This world is strange, Jamie..... But the surname Aura, from what I've known it's not as rare as you think... Mind it's rare enough in my world that a Mage knows one of their parents let alone has a middle name and surname..." She stated before frowning and shutting her eyes."And there I go again with telling my story..... And Pride again..... I'm surprised I haven't had any Demons after me by now! Or.... Hell! Just Templars!"

Charlise raised an eyebrow, "You won't be saying that when you suddenly turn into a bear and then you're on the run from being hunted?! Trust me! This is my third Realm." She replied before she knitted her eyebrows, "Who's your baby brother? Maybe I've seen him." She asked, there was no harm in asking.

[Jamie Lane]

Jamie shook his head and shrugged.
"Oh don't worry. People seem to love telling me stuff. I think I have that face. "
He smirked at her dropping his eyes to the water when she asked about his world.
"Nothing to tell. It's boring compared to this place. Besides, does it make a difference to you where I'm from as to who I am? "
He asked her with a quirk of his brow.

No, he wouldn't dream of boring her with all that stuff. He'd just stick to getting to know her now. It's here and now that mattered and NOT where they were from. That hadn't worked for them before had it. When she tried to show off how powerful she was and he just tried to get her away from danger. He'd got slapped in the face for it. Templars?! Jamie sat up slightly and stared at her.

"Whoa! Whoa! Wait! You met Templar knights? Oh my God. Tell me about them! What are they like?"
Bell would have died to know all this. For Bell's sake he was definitely going to find out about Templars. Jamie frowned when she said she'd turned into a bear and blinked repeatedly.
"A Bear? Wow. Uh... that must be awkward. So Realm where you turn into a bear and what else? "
He pressed quickly before shrugging and staring into the water again.

"I have two younger brothers. Jason and Jacob. Jacob likes being called Bell though. He got teased at school because someone made a teen romance where one of the main characters in a love triangle was called Jacob. He was also the one who lost out on getting the girl. Instead, Jacob decided to be called Bell. The girl, the main character was called Bella Swan. No one teased him then because he teased himself. ya know. He's a smart kid, always was."
Jamie smirked biting into his bottom lip.

[Charlise Aura]

Charlise chuckled as she looked at his face, semi critically but there was still a look of friendliness in her gaze as she nodded, "Yes, I'd say you do..... And that's a good thing?!" She then shrugged, "It just helps to build a bit of a picture really, helps us to understand one another... Why we do certain things, why we speak in a certain manner...."

She then raised an eyebrow at his exclamation about the Templars, "I'll put things this way..... I don't think our Templars are the same, Jamie.... Not by quite an arrow shot...." She replied before nodding slowly at Jamie's question about the Bear thing, "It's a Realm of Woodlands..... Not akin to these Woods but far denser.... And you become either.... A bear, a squirrel, a deer or you become a Hunter....."

Blinking, Charlise turned to Jamie with an open mouth, realisation kicking in. "I met Bell! He helped me when I first got to these set of Realms, he helped me to avoid the Pirates!" She stated as she twisted more to him as she talked.

[Jamie Lane]

Jamie nodded in understanding and sighed softly.
"I'm sorry. You're probably right. If you want to tell me things, just go ahead and tell me. Maybe it'll come in handy one day when I meet one of your people?"
He offered but he had been reading all kinds of books so he knew a bit about a few fantasy things. He was a great fan of Tolkien and he'd read practically all the Sword of Truth books really. As soon as Bell put a book down, Jamie would pick it up.

Lily loved reading and especially when he read to her so he'd done just that, he'd read to her on lazy sunday afternoons all about great battles, true love and unique creatures. When she began explaining about the Templar knights, he couldn't help but smile when she used her phrase. Jamie winced when he heard what Charlise said and prayed that Elizabeth had not become any of these strange creatures, then again, she'd told him of the asylum which was worse.

"Fun things to look forward to then?"
He said, his voice full of sarcasm. She told him about Bell and his eyes widened in excitement.
"Bell?! You met Bell and you didn't pull out clumps of your own hair? That's amazing!"
Jamie responded with widened eyes before frowning quickly again.
"Pirates? Is he okay? Was he okay? Did he get hurt or anything? Pirates though, he must have been in his element."

[Charlise Aura]

Charlise sighed, "It's ok... Most of my life is boring, for most Magic users in my world, we're locked in a Tower for most of our lives...... So when any of them get here, they'll be ecstatic about being outside.... I mean..." She paused as she fingered the flower. "This is the second time I've ever smelled a flower....." She admitted with a blush.

Charlise saw the smile but shivered at the thought of the Templars, "Too try to keep it as, not too weird as possible, the Templars from my world are an Order of Warriors trained to fight/control people like me... Magic users..... Some are ok, but others abuse their power... Plus they are kind of hypocrites really."
She saw Jamie wince and nodded, "Yeah, I mean it isn't too bad..... I mean, I've heard of one realm which is apparently really bad...."

Charlise shrugged, "No he was really helpful..... Got me away from the Pirates who were his Masters, gave me some food and water.... Then I saved him from Mermaids... I think he's got a bit of a crush on me, but I could be wrong and just misreading..." She replied before sighing, "He didn't seem to bad, he wasn't hurt or anything so I'd assume he was playing his cards right...."

[Jamie Lane]

Jamie blinked when he heard they were locked in a tower most of their lives. Though, he thoughts if Blaine had his way and humans overtook magic folk, Blaine would have done the same thing. Jamie did smile at her softly when she mentioned the flower thing.
"I'll be getting you tons more flowers I guess. You have a pretty blush."
Jamie said softly smiling at her. Jamie looked immensely disappointed when he heard what she had to say about her Templar knights.

"The Templar knights I'm familiar with, protected the mother Mary and Christ's son. They attempted to defy the church and claim that Jesus had a son. They're kinda a Myth but they have this... symbol I guess and it's like everywhere carved into church walls on particularly old buildings so... it almost seems like they were real. Of course, the Priests didn't like that because it would be loss of power to them. Religion is confusion... As my girlfi-uh Ex-girlfriend I guess."

Jamie dropped his eyes to the water and gave a soft sigh staring into it. Lily. Poor Lily. He'd just been so cold with her. She thought he'd died and he'd treated her horribly. Jamie's eyebrows furrowed when she mentioned the one realm that was worse than all the rest and his eyes flashed to meet hers.
"What is that realm? "
He asked carefully.

When Jamie heard of the crush Bell had to Charlise, Jamie couldn't help but laugh deeply.
"Yeah that's definitely Bell! Always aiming for people he can't have. He gets his heart shattered so many times. Back home he fell for this girl who already HAD a boyfriend, though she didn't tell him. It was his first kiss as well. He was depressed for weeks apparently. Poor Bell. He's never been lucky in the girls department."
Jamie shook his head, a smile on his face.

It was good to hear that Bell was okay though. Bell was always the smartest out of the three brothers and he could practically get anyone to do anything for him. Bell was good like that.

[Charlise Aura]

Charlise nodded slowly when she saw Jamie blink at her saying how her people were generally locked up, "It's true I'm afraid, more often than not though, the Tower and the other Circles of Magi keeps people like me safe from those who are afraid of magic... Which is, most people in my world I suppose...." Her eyes saddened but then brightened again as did her blush at his compliment at her blush and how he'd bring lots of flowers. "I have been planting lots of flowers in my farmland, along with the fruit and vegetables....." That then reminded her of something as she dug out some gold coins, "I believe I owed you 3 Gold Coins more... Well saving my ass from the Knights, huh?" She stated whilst holding them out with a soft smile.

Charlise then shrugged, "Some parts of it sounds somewhat similar to the Andrastian Chantry on my world.... I suppose Religion plays a big part in every world, let alone society." She mused, slightly preferring the Templars on Jamie's world right now. Mind she, along with all the other Mages, assumed that her own Father was a Templar so she can't blame them all.

"I'm not exactly sure what it's called, but apparently it's somewhere where you're supposed to be cured of some sort of mental disorder or something...." Charlise started before adding, "Mind, apparently it seems like many of the Healers there are doing the opposite....." She shivered a little at that.

Charlise smiled a little bit as Jamie laughed before nodding, "Yes well..... He tried to introduce as the son of the Pirate King, he's a smart lad so yes, he's probably alright." She agreed with a confidant nod of her head.

[Jamie Lane]

Jamie gave her a sympathetic look and frowned deeply. He could understand the fear of magic. Blaine was sorta scared of Magic. In fact, He didn't blame people for being frightened of magic. It could be quite powerful. Look at Charlise for instance. She'd tried to bring down two trolls and was confident she could. Jamie didn't doubt that she could either. He just though it would be a better idea to run on that particular day. Jamie gave her a sympathetic look.

"I'm glad they didn't hurt you then. You seem like a really nice person. "
Jamie admonished to her softly, finally. They'd just gotten off on the wrong foot, that's all. Jamie smiled when she blushed again and shook his head when she mentioned that she had planted her own flowers.
"Wild flowers are much better than home grown ones. What are you talking about..."
He teased her lightly as she started digging around for something.

He gave her a disapproving smile then wrapped his hands around hers pushing the coins back to her.
"They were a gift. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. "
Jamie half growled before removing his hands from hers and wrapping them around his two legs.

"Besides, A friend of my brother's is also a friend of mine and friends help friends right?"
He asked carefully eager to make his point. When she mentioned religion playing a big part over multi-dimensions, he nodded in agreement and shrugged.
"Not a fan of religion, I must admit though."
He confessed listening to her continue. They were getting on so well now. Their conversation and relationship was blossoming and he was just so glad that this was the case.

Jamie's eyes widened when she explained about the realm and actually went a few shades more gray.
"Yes, an asylum... It's in my world. People who were... different, got locked away for being different. Women who liked women and men who liked men as lovers, included. Liz told me about the place briefly."
Jamie let out a shudder and prayed that Bell wasn't there right now.

"Your healers can not be worse than the psychs. "
Jamie whispered softly as if he was scared it might anger some dark entities watching them or listening to them. He just sooo didn't want to jump to that realm... EVER. Jamie gave a laugh when she mentioned Bell introducing himself as the son of a pirate king and nodded.
"I have the braun. Jason has the good looks so it's obvious that Bell has to have the brains. Tell me about your healers?"
Jamie asked quietly.

"We've been sat down for a while now. How bout a little stroll? "
Jamie offered, waiting for her to agree and get up first. Besides, he had loads of things to attend to back home so he might as well start moving into that general direction.
