He was getting used to the place now. He understood the research being done and every day the hunters brought in someone new, he saw it as most of the researchers there: A chance for a cure. This place was like living in Resident Evil minus the ‘survival horror’ fear you got when playing the game. He remembered playing with Jason and being a back seat driver as far as the game play went. Jamie had always been kinda good at it. The only thing that kept him from over stressing too much about it was knowing he was safe in the concrete facility.
Oh and... he kept seeing flashes of Liz everywhere he turned. And then... she was there in the hallway, just as he was getting his lunch. He dropped his tray on a nearby table and raced out the sliding glass door rushing down the hall that she’d turned down, probably lost in her own confusion thoughts. Jamie caught up with her easily stopping just a few paces behind her. ”Liz!” He cried out, praying beyond hope that the woman with the short dark hair would turn out to be his professor, teacher and a familiar face in the scary setting he found himself in. Though he was certain this was NOTHING like the asylum that she’d found herself in.

When she woke up in a bed, coloured room and in humanoid form, Elizabeth's first terrified thought was that she was back in the Asylum once again but then looking closer and seeing the lab-coat she had on made her relax a little as she got up and got started.
Dr. Chiara got her started by asking her to go pick up some results from a test that she was running so Elizabeth did that, but not without asking Chiara how she was so draconic in nature which made Chiara link with the angel and tell her what she needed to know.... For now anyway.
And so she walked through the corridors to find the room where the tests were conducted when she heard her name called so she turned and smiled joyfully and gratefully before she gently embraced Jamie with the fierceness yet gentle affection only a Mother had. "Oh Jamie! My dear boy..." She stopped before shaking herself in correction before stating, "My dear man... How are you?"

Jamie was instantly embraced and his strong arms wrapped around Liz's thin body pulling her close against his own. It was good to hold her again, touch her again. Jamie was disappointed though, Jason... he'd left Jason behind and he had yet to find anyone else familiar but at least he had Liz now. He pulled back and cupped her face smiling at her. "You're okay. I'm so glad. I was so worried when you disappeared. I thought you'd end up back in the Asylum. But you're not. You're here, safe and sound, with me. " He half cooed at her then kissed her forehead gently, his eyes shining with happiness.
He pulled back and took her hands standing a bit away from her to see if she was really okay. She looked in good health. "I'm okay too though. I found my brother when you disappeared. Oh and there's this girl here... she reminds me of the Lizard people back in Albanon. She helped me... sorta. She's been here longer than we have. I think the Queen misses you." Jamie's eyes softened when he said the last piece and he tilted his head to the side with tenderness in them.
His thumbs stroked across the tops of her hands carefully, comfortingly and he couldn't help but stare at her.

Elizabeth happily sighed as she held Jamie in her arms with warmth as she stroked his head a little, happy to see someone she knew as she let herself be pulled back. She shivered a little at the words Asylum but she shook her head, "No thank the Heavens, instead I was in some Woodlands which Charlise mentioned, except I was a fox and I met a young Vampire girl there... Bless her heart..." She paused before smiling, "Oh! And I've seen Bell! He is alright for now, loving his time as a squirrel... So long as he remembers my lectures of heading into the Hunter Camp, or at least listens to Eunice." She stated as she held him by the shoulders a little, sighing a little as she heard about the Queen, "As I do her.... She reminds me a lot of my daughter.... Elissa."
Her eyes were still swirling a little as Elizabeth sighed, "I wish I could say my.... Problem, is gone... At least here I can focus my mind a little..." She then paused, "And at least I'm not having quite a fair few Guards, Knights or Kings trying to get up my skirt...." She shivered a little at that as she inspected Jamie in return before it clicked in her brain about a woman who liked like a Lizard person.
"Oh Chiara?! I would not go calling her girl if I were you..... She is older than me by 1000 or so years!" She exclaimed before pondering, "Mind..... She is a Dragon..."
Smiling back at him, Elizabeth's eyes softened as she cupped his cheek before stroking, "Oh, it is so good to see you Jamie... It certainly makes this place as the more brighter." She smiled softly as she hugged him again, her wings aren't twitching too much considering she spent a couple of weeks without her wings, that was strange.....

Jamie was relieved to hear that she had been to the woodlands instead of the Asylum and smiled instantly at her words about being a fox. Liz as a fox? Now there was an amusing thought. A vampire girl was mentioned and Jamie instantly frowned. Vampires and angels and elves and mages and trolls and dragons and zombies. What more...? He was totally done with horror stories and fairy tales now. He really was NOT enjoying himself. Suddenly she mentioned Bell and his eyes lit up.
"You saw my brother?!" He held at her shoulders, eyes widened in horror as she mentioned seeing Bell and he almost bounced off the walls at the thought. Bell as a squirrel! Bell would have loved that. Was Eunice the vampire then? Typical for Bell to get mixed up with a vampire girl. He would have expected no less from his rambunctious younger sibling. Jamie smiled softly when Liz said she missed the Queen too.
He wondered faintly and briefly if Blaine was missing him yet? Jamie frowned instantly when he heard Liz mention that there were a number of men after her and he gave a sigh. But she was so.... old... It wasn't her looks. It was how she acted. She tended to treat people as if they were children.... like she was doing Jamie right then. How could anyone like that sort of behavior and find it attractive unless they had mommy issues. Jamie looked away thoughtfully thinking about it then shuddered a little in Liz's grip before flashing his eyes back at the mention of Chiara.
Jamie frowned instantly when Liz mentioned her and shook his head. Ah that was why she treated him much the same way Liz did... like a child. Jamie rolled his eyes and sighed. "I wish Age didn't quite matter as much to you guys. Maybe we'd all get along much more neutrally. " He often felt like they were looking down on him. Like he was two or something. No! He was a man capable of fixing cars, building houses, wiring electricity and fighting battles.
If they only knew what made a man in his world. A guy who was good with his hands was a real man... Jamie wouldn't be looked down at if they knew. Jamie was pulled into a hug suddenly and he leaned in to the smaller woman putting one of his big hands gently on her back against her wings. "Thank you, Liz. You too." He murmured in a soothing tone.

Elizabeth nodded, Jamie's enthusiasm literally giving her so much strength and seemed to pulse out of her as well as a bright smile appeared on her face. "Yes! I have, he's alright... He seems to be loving most of the things that are happening here... Well save for not having meat and other such things when he was a squirrel... So I hope that he has listened to me whilst watching over Eunice too... Poor dear..." She sighed softly.
Nodding in reaction to his statement about Age, Elizabeth sighed softly. "I know.... I know... But still even as a Human, I still see you like my son.... That isn't too bad, is it?" She asked with an uncertain look on her face. She dearly missed her children, but both of her sons were now dead and her daughter wasn't even speaking to her. "Well... Chiara may be physically older than me...... But, I still sense a curiosity, almost a sense of innocence, like that of a young child in her... She's so unsure of herself here so she puts up a wall in order to protect herself which at the same time, is giving her such a disadvantage...." She shook her head a little at his.
Tucking her head beneath Jamie's, Elizabeth sighed a little, feeling a lot safer now as a couple of her tears fell. She knew she could trust Jamie easily so she didn't have to be the Mother figure all the time. "I was so frightened when I woke up here..." She admitted to him quietly as she shook a little bit, "I went to sleep in the Woodlands, curled around Eunice and Bell..... But when I woke up... I-I thought...." Her voice broke as she cried, something she rarely did in front of others unless she felt safe and could trust whoever was with her at that time. In this strange place, that mostly spelled out Jamie.
Her wings relaxed under Jamie's hand whilst welcoming the weight to prove that they were there, having spent a couple of weeks or so without them made Elizabeth a little paranoid of them actually being there.

Jamie was beside himself with delight at the fact that Liz had seen Bell. He couldn't believe his brother was okay, but.... which version of his brother was this anyway? Did it matter? It was still his brother! Jamie laughed when he heard about Bell being a squirrel. "He was a squirrel? Now that must have been hilarious!" Jamie wished he could have been there to witness the funniest squirrel in the world. He imagined something like Alvin, the chipmunk...
Jamie suddenly blinked. "Oh my God. What did he sound like?! Like Alvin? " Would Liz even know who Alvin and the chipmunks were? Jamie smiled softly when he heard her words about seeing him as her son then moved in beside her to wrap an arm around her shoulder, turning so they wouldn't be caught talking like this in the hallway instead of working.
"Of course it's not bad. Thank you for your kind words. They're appreciated." Talk turned to Chiara and he listened curiously. He wanted to learn how to get on the girl's good side. The more traveller friends they had, the better, she'd come to see. If he was ever in a high position again and found Chiara, Liz or Charlise in a lower possition, he'd find a way to help them out, just like he'd done with Charlise and the whole taxes thing. Jamie frowned when he heard about Chiara and nodded faintly.
"Thought that might have been the case." Jamie answered with a shrug. Jamie pulled back a little when her incompleted sentence reached his ears and he stroked at her back soothingly. "You thought you were back at the Asylum? You're not. You're safe, with me, here... in ... Resident evil...." He trailed off, his eyes catching one of the zombies behind a plate of glass before shaking his head a little to throw that thought away.
"Don't you worry. I don't think any of us will ever have to endure that! " He murmured soothingly before pressing his lips to her forehead and coming to stop outside his office. Jamie held her close waiting for her to calm a little more. He let out a little sigh and ran his fingers though her hair. "I'm him, my angel." He then whispered into her hair.

Elizabeth chuckled a little at Jamie's response, she was happy because he was happy even though the comment about Alvin threw her a little before she recalled a film with an animal called Alvin. "When we spoke, it was with the tongue of Animals... And Alvin I believe is a chipmunk.. Not a squirrel." She replied, she was an old soul, truer words never spoken, but she tried to keep up-to-date with the entertainment side to one's life.
Smiling softly, Elizabeth nodded, "As are your own, my good man. They certainly warm my heart to know that not all children, or indeed other people, do not simply hate me because I want to protect them..." Such words made her think of her only surviving child but Elizabeth brushed it aside. Elissa made it clear that she did not wish for her mother to be a part of her life anymore.
"She is used to being in a different form for an extremely long time, whereas this form is one she is not quite so used to... Nor does it seem that she is used to speaking to fellow beings that are not draconic as equals.... So small steps at a time is my best advice, Jamie." Elizabeth advised with a wise air as she let Jamie guide her from the hall.
Now being able to cry freely helped ease a lot on Elizabeth's shoulder as she nodded in reply to Jamie's question, "It.... It was horrible! I have to pretend I am not an Angel, take some pills which make me worse..... And I really do not wish to be there whilst I...." She stopped a little as she cried in his shoulder and neck.
His hand going through her hair and the other stroking her back nd wings made her relax a little as she inhaled his scent, her blood slightly heated up with that as well as his last words and tone but Elizabeth pushed it back. ~No... No I will not stoop this low! Jamie is my son!~ She willed herself as her blood started to cool, though some of the heat still pricked her skin a little as her tears slowly stopped and dried.
