Jacob woke with a start. For the first time in a long time he hadn't had any bad dreams about those stinking Italian nose up their own asses vampires come to take HIS Nessie away from him. He had slept straight through and woke up to fi-... whoa! Wait! Jacob struggled a bit on the floor of the padded cell. He couldn't get to his feet... His hands were TIED! What?! Padded floor?! What?! NO... Jacob struggled in the straight jacket then flopped once again on the ground. There was no getting out of this.
He tried to keep himself calm. Calm, yes, rational. He had to think about this rationally. This was a trick being played on him surely. Leah was playing a trick right? Maybe the whole pack was in on it and yes... maybe Nessie too. Something about keeping his temper in check right? He wiggled so he was lain on his back and slowly sat up that way finding he was facing a door. They went to a lot of expense for this trick right?
"Ha ha ha... very funny. Very funny guys. You can let me out now." He called to the doorway then swung his legs underneath him and got to his feet that way, one leg at a time till they were both underneath him and he was on his feet. Bare... feet... He started toward the door and peeked out of the little window. An empty hallway is what greeted him it seemed. Up and down... empty. "Guys?!" Jacob got no response and panic set in once again. "GUYS! LET ME OUT!" He started tapping his shoulder into the padded door but that tapping became a banging.
"Let me out!!!!" The burn shot through his body with the growled demand. The wolf was angry. The wolf was coming!

Lin should have felt glad she was no longer a fox running around the woods, but she wasn't. Not when she found herself in the most unusual place with quite a few unsavory people. It was safe to assume that this place... Hope's Haven Institution, was one of those odd sub-dimensions the mage-turned-bear Charlise talked about. There were so many weird things around here. People dressed oddly, there were strange items that emitted lights behind glass, and people had apparently mastered control over lightning.
This would have all been fascinating to the dragon if it weren't for the fact that the workers, healers she assumed, started asking her to do things for them. Lin was fairly sure she could feel the cold stare of one of the doctors whenever passed him. It was a mystery to her as to why he disliked her even though they had never spoken thus far.
She tried to stay inconspicuous and not attract too much attention. At some point she hoped to find some place isolated so she could stretch her wings. During the time as a fox she was unable to shift into her dragon form, which felt absolutely awful. The main reason she didn't here was because she only smelled humans among all the other myriad of foreign scents. The last thing she wanted to do was scare them all.
The hallway she was in was close to the living quarters and the wing of the building with the "high risk patients." It was silent for the most part until Lin's ears picked up the sound of someone banging against a door. Curious, she walked over to the door and peered through the small window to see a young man bound and looking quite panicked. Then the smell hit her... werewolf.
"Hello? Could you calm down please? I don't think you're going to do yourself any good doing that." She said in a calm voice. She hadn't really seen any werewolves since she was back home in Ammon. What was a werewolf doing here? Maybe he was like her, a traveler. He most certainly was not from her world, she could at least be able to tell that. "Let's just talk, I don't think anyone who works here wants to see an angry werewolf."

Suddenly a little Asian face popped through the little window and he stopped instantly staring at the face, his full lips slightly parted. "I'm saved! Open the door. Can you hear me?! Open the door!" Jacob growled a sneer curling his nose when he saw her through the tiny little window. She told him to calm down so they could talk and Jacob made a little growly whining sound, falling to his knees in front of the door.
He panted as he knelt there, his forehead pressed against padded cell. "I don't wanna calm down..." He whispered to the ground before sitting back on his legs and glaring at the little window. "I want to be LET OUT!" He screamed before lowering his head again and closing his eyes. Renesmee. Nessie... her face, her golden eyes, her beautiful smile...
Jacob took a deep breath. His shoulders eased before he slowly got to his feet peeking out at the Asian chick. "I see a key card. I know you're gonna swipe it across the key card pad and let me out of here because you know what I am right? And I'm sure you're all really scared of me but if you want me not to rip your heads off you better do what I say...." Oh God.
Maybe Forks found out about them and had now locked the whole pack away! After all they'd done for that place! After all the hard work! Now they were being locked in a mental institution. "Please.... we can control ourselves you know. I'm the leader. You should let the others go really. It's me you want....Are the vampires here too? You can keep them. Just let Nessie and her mom go. Come on, man. Be reasonable." He was babbling like an idiot but he had to try and get this girl to open the door.
She seemed way too young to be working this job though... way way way too young.

He was panicking and that was natural. From the way he was acting, Lin could only assume he was a newcomer to traveling. In that sense she felt kind of bad for him. She wanted to let him out, but it would be bad if he shifted into his wolf form. "Listen, I want to help you, but you have to calm down first." She reiterated, keeping her voice as calm and steady as possible.
A small smile appeared on her face for a moment at the thought of her being scared of this werewolf. Obviously he had no idea what she really was. She glanced down at the keycard attached to, what they called, a lanyard around her next. It was an odd item and it somehow allowed her to open certain doors; a very useful trinket in Lin's opinion. However the threat of heads being ripped off was something she would not take lightly. She blinked and her eyes changed so that her entire eye was taken up by a deep, dark blue iris and if you looked closely, you could see a slit pupil not unlike a reptile's.
"You don't seem to understand the situation right now. These people don't know about us, they think we're normal humans. If you even think about harming any of these people, I will personally end you."
In truth, she really, really did not want to do that at all. Violence was only meant to be used as a last resort, that was her personal belief. For the nearly two centuries she'd been alive, there was nothing but war. People who should have coexisted together were fighting each other. It was terrible, and Lin wanted to stop it, but then she was sent here...
Her eyes reverted back to their normal dark, practically black irises. Whoever this young man was, he had a pack and people he cared about. "If it's of any comfort to you, I haven't picked up on the scent or presence of anyone else like us. Only humans... more or less. You're the only werewolf here." She sighed and fingered the keycard in her hand. The poor boy obviously didn't like being caged and Lin could sympathise. "I'll open the door, okay? Just don't shift and don't try anything like running or fighting. You'll attract too much attention otherwise."
Holding up the keycard she slid it through the keypad. A green light flashed and there was a click that indicated the lock sliding back. She hoped the boy would listen, otherwise this would become a very troublesome situation.

The Asian girl on the other side of the bored repeated that she needed him to stay calm and not shift when she let him out. So ... he was gonna be let out? He would be let out? What a relief. He was already starting to wonder if he was acting crazy. Ya know, like recounting his actions in his head carefully and seeing if they were crazy. He was starting to do that and it was a tad worrisome. Jake didn't see her eyes changing to become more reptile like. He was far more focused on the fact that he was in severe trouble.
This place was enough to make you crazy. He did pay attention though when he heard her threat. They didn't know about him? but she used us. Jacob was peeking out the window within seconds dark eyes half widened. "Us? What do you mean us? What do you mean they do-Whoa... what happened to your eyes...." He asked and backed away from the door slowly.
"O-on second thought. I'll just stay in here... where it's sorta safe from weird eye shifty freaks. " He spoke more to himself. The door made a soft click and slowly slid open and Jacob stared at the Asian girl with the snake eyes. He didn't know if he could trust this girl. She was so tiny compared to Jacob, so innocent looking except for the fact that he had seen her eyes shifting. Jacob straighened his shoulders as much as he could coming to his full height in the straight jacket.
Not that he looked very dangerous in his straight jacket at all to be honest. "Okay what are you and where am I? Why am I here and how did you know what I was?" The four questions came babbling from his mouth, his body tense as he watched her, waited for her response.

The weird white jacket the boy was wearing looked uncomfortable to say the least. Lin was glad she didn't have to wear one. By the werewolf's expression, she figured he was in fact unfamiliar with the existence of other mythical beings such as herself. That could be problematic. She pursed her lips a bit at the freak comment though. "I am not a a freak, and I promise you that I will do you no harm unless you force me to." she said taking a step inside the white room.
Sighing, Lin rubbed her forehead to try figure out how to best answer his questions without throwing him into a further panic. The truth was usually the best way to go of course, but she had to be careful about how she told him. "I'm a dragon. It might be hard to believe, but this is my human form. As to where you are... I believe this place is called Hope's Haven Institution. I can't really say why you're here, or why I'm here... However what I do know is that this a world we'll be residing in for a few months. Then we'll supposedly be taken to some other place..."
Was she forgetting something? Oh right, how she knew what he was. "I could tell you were a werewolf because of your smell." she said tapping the side of her nose, "It's a very distinct odor." Tilting her head a bit, she examined the dark haired boy. Stepping forward she moved around so she was behind him. "This looks uncomfortable." she said and started to undo the clasps, "So what's your name? Where did you come from?"

Jacob nodded when she mentioned she wouldn't hurt him and he softened his shoulders from his defensive stance though there was a warning to his words which definitely made him feel uncomfortable. Not to mention the fact that he felt incredibly uneasy about the fact that she was actually entering an enclosed space with him. She was a creature he'd never met before. She was a strange and possibly unyielding being that scared him for the most part and he didn't know what to expect.
Vampires he could deal with. He'd even faced the Volturi for Nessie but this? This he felt uncomfortable with. The moment she said she was a dragon, he knew their places had to be swapped. Wow, the sane people were put in straight jackets while the insane people walked around free. His face curled into a look of disbelieve, staring at her like she was crazy. "A few MONTHS! No no. I can't do a few MONTHS. That's insane. A few months? Let me out of this damn jacket so I can go back home. Right now."
There was another growl to his voice and his body tensed up again. "If you're about to tell me I stink, I'm gonna headbutt you, I swear." He hissed again when she mentioned that he had a distinct odor making a serious face for her to know he meant what he said. To his absolute surprise she stepped behind him and started to undo the buckles one by one and Jacob held still smiling for the first time since waking up into this horrible nightmare.
"Forks. I'm from Forks and My name's Jacob Black. How bout you?" He tilted his head over his shoulder so he could see her name badge. "Lin.... the crazy dragon girl. Where you from?" He would definitely opt for indulging in this girl's delusions.
